W. Y Chung, MD is the Director of InkOff.MD℠ and the Vein and Skin Center of Hawaii. He graduated from the University of California Irvine with a B.S degree and attended medical school at Loyola University, Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago. He went on to residency training in emergency medicine at Advocate Christ Hospital and Medical Center and is a board certified emergency physician.

He has practiced emergency medicine for a total of 10 years in Chicago, California, and Hawaii however he decided to leave emergency medicine and pursue a field of medicine where treatment of veins, once considered surgical, can now be treated by lasers. After training with the past-president of the American College of Phlebology, Nick Morrison, MD, he opened the Vein and Skin Center of Hawaii to treat both medical and cosmetic vein conditions. He then became board certified in Phlebology and since 2007 has been treating veins with lasers. He soon realized that lasers can also be an integral part of cosmetic medicine.

Therefore, he trained with physicians that are experts in their field of cosmetic medicine, Kevin Johnson, MD and R. Stephen Mulholland, MD. He has extensive training in the use of lasers for skin rejuvenation, tattoo removal, and body sculpting. He is a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.

Dr. Chung opened InkOff.MD℠ 2/2013 to focus on the removal of tattoos. He is one of the first physicians in the world to use the PicoSure™ laser to remove tattoos. He has been removing tattoos for the past 2 years using the traditional Q-switch laser with good results, however the process was long and sometimes painful. His expertise in the use of lasers led him to invest in the PicoSure™ laser to offer his patients the best method to remove tattoos. Dr. Chung's goal is to utilize the best laser available to treat each individual's needs, whether it is to completely remove the tattoo or simply fade the tattoo.

Dr. Chung is currently a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the American College of Phlebology, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and the National Society of Cosmetic Physicians.

He is married and has 2 daughters who are currently involved with competitive volleyball. He also holds a 2nd degree black belt in AIMAA Taekwondo. He has been residing in Honolulu for over 9 years and is a board member with One Love Outreach/KALO TV. He attends One Love Ministries and is an active member with the Men's Ministry.
